  • Access to reliable data – the reliability of the data, its easy integration and understanding between areas is essential for a conscious exercise of management;
  • more transparency and understanding of the business – the provision of real – time knowledge (the “what”, the “how”, the “when”, the “where” and “how”) allows managers and decision-makers have a perspective of the areas that they must control with total transparency and increase their ability to understand (the “why”);
  • Support for decision making – only a timely understanding of reality can allow effective decision making; as such, the knowledge produced by BI systems, enhanced by current communication technologies, must support and
    justify the measures taken by the various stakeholders in the management process.
